Podcast: Episode #8 – Thrive Market, Peachy Salsa, and Ginger

(This post contains affiliate links.)
Welcome to Episode #8!

We had a little bit of a break from podcasting because Malori was out of town visiting her hubby who is TDY in Arizona!  Since getting back, she is putting in a lot of work on her own blog, www.livingawarriorlife.com, with rebranding and getting ready to relaunch.

Diane tells the story of losing (and subsequently finding) their collie, Samson.  This episode was also recorded on Diane’s 60th birthday!  Happy Birthday!

“Just Do This” Easy Recipe
Summer Peach Salsa for 2:
2 peaches, diced
1 drop ginger essential oil
Juice from 1 mini lemon
Handful of chopped cilantro
Sprinkle of dried basil or 1 leaf fresh basil, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Let the ingredients marinate together on the counter while you prepare the rest of your meal.

“What’s Growing in Your Garden?”
Malori’s purple heirloom pole beans are growing like crazy!  She set up some trellises for those and for the cucumber plants.  She also has 4 tomatoes growing.

Diane and George’s potatoes are finally growing! They are just very small right now.

Essential Oil of the Day
Ginger – so much easier to use ginger EO instead of fresh ginger in recipes!  It can be used aromatically, topically, and internally.  It’s a very spicy, hot, earthy oil!

“Diffuser Dreams” Recipe
Kind of like a pumpkin pie spice!  Spicy-sweet.
2 drops ginger, 1 drop clove, 1 drop cinnamon or cassia, 3 drops wild orange
